About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze business needs regarding Global Trade requirements and develop compliant solutions across the business lifecycle
- Serve as the Global Trade liaison for assigned Avionics business segments and leaders
- Support business strategic initiatives and Global Trade efforts for technology development
- Apply the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and HTS
- Deploy Collins and Avionics Global Trade policies and procedures
- Support development of the Global Trade focal network
- Support licensing and authorization activities for assigned business segments
- Support Regulatory Compliance investigations
- Develop and deliver formal and informal Global Trade training and communications
- Review transactions under Collins Sanctions policy
- Support compliance requirements related to foreign-person employees
- Provide strategic Global Trade guidance to Avionics leaders, engineering, and product-line teams
- Establish and execute authorization and technology-transfer plans
- Lead and manage authorizations and Global Trade projects at Avionics and Collins levels
- Manage Global Trade program training, policies, processes, implementation, execution, and metrics
- Ensure compliant transfers of physical goods and intangible items
- Address regulatory and policy violations, prevent recurrence, and drive continuous improvement
- Interface with U.S. and international customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- University Degree and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. Global Trade regulations, including EAR and ITAR
- International and domestic travel of 10% required
- Basic understanding of U.S. Customs regulations
- Engineering or related-discipline background in the aerospace industry
- Project or program management experience
- Aerospace technical experience
- Experience with EMEA regional and national regulations
- Experience with business process improvement and implementing change
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple goals, plans, and milestones
- Strong IT experience, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience interpreting, managing, and implementing regulations, policies, and procedures
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
