About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze business needs with respect to Global Trade requirements and develop compliant solutions across all phases of the business lifecycle
Serve as the Global Trade liaison for assigned Avionics business segments and leaders
Support development and execution of business strategic initiatives and Global Trade efforts for technology development
Work under U.S. Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, and HTS
Deploy Collins and Avionics Global Trade policies and procedures
Support development of the Global Trade focal network
Support licensing and authorization activities for assigned business segments
Support Regulatory Compliance investigations
Develop and deliver formal and informal Global Trade training and communications
Review transactions under Collins Sanctions policy
Support compliance requirements related to foreign-person employees
Lead and manage authorization and global trade projects at Avionics and Collins levels
Partner with Avionics senior leaders, engineering, and business product line teams to understand program objectives and establish authorization and technology-transfer plans
Interface with U.S. and international customers to drive compliant execution and business results

Requirements

What you’ll need

University Degree and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Strong working knowledge of U.S. Global Trade regulations, including EAR and ITAR
U.S. Person status required
Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically 10%
Basic understanding of U.S. Customs regulations
Background or experience in engineering or a related aerospace discipline
Project or program management experience
Aerospace technical experience
Experience with EMEA regional and national regulations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills in a dynamic, global, fast-paced environment
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet multiple goals, plans, and milestones
Strong IT experience, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience interpreting, managing, and implementing regulations, policies, and procedures
Experience working in a global, matrixed organization preferred
