About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure accurate and complete material and service requirements are communicated to suppliers
  • Execute Export/Import requirements, documentation, reporting, telecons, and meetings
  • Analyze supplier quotes and proposals through complex cost and price analysis
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions
  • Place letter subcontracts and purchase orders, and facilitate contract change management in EPAD
  • Manage and report supplier cost, quality, schedule, and material sales performance
  • Prepare and issue requests for proposals meeting technical, quality, delivery, and FAR requirements
  • Manage desk metrics and contribute to process, system, and product improvements
  • Manage a high-volume procurement desk while meeting accuracy and performance metrics
  • Place firm-fixed-price, letter subcontract, and cost-type purchase orders in accordance with FAR/DFARS
  • Proactively manage suppliers for on-time delivery, oversight, and recovery efforts
  • Present root cause and corrective actions to leadership based on metrics and supplier issues
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations
  • Collaborate with Program, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Program Management teams
  • Travel up to 25% may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Previous procurement experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Preferred: Cross-Functional Team, Integrated Product Team, project, or program management experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field
  • Preferred: Knowledge of FAR/DFARS or other heavily regulated industries
  • Preferred: Experience with Cost Plus and Firm Fixed Price contractual vehicles
  • Preferred: FAR 15.4 cost/pricing analysis and competitive procurement experience
  • Preferred: Technical requirements and Statement of Work review experience
  • Preferred: ITAR familiarity and import/export compliance knowledge
  • Preferred: Complex military assembly procurement experience
  • Preferred: Terms and conditions negotiation experience
  • Preferred: SAP-based environment experience
  • Preferred: Supplier recovery efforts experience
