About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain the technical baseline to meet customer Technical Performance Measures and Key Performance Parameters
- Manage the technical baseline to maximize hardware and software reuse across SPY-6 Family of Radars programs
- Manage System Level Requirements documents for the internal program office and external Navy customer
- Review and approve program CDRLs and Technical Data Package updates in the Product Data Management system
- Plan, organize, and administer technical reviews
- Oversee day-to-day engineering execution, technical decisions, and technical baseline control
- Support integration and test activities and ensure hardware and software baselines are developed, installed, and tested before live test events
- Address radar performance issues and requirement shortfalls identified during integration and testing
- Work with Business Development to maximize hardware and software reuse in new pursuits
- Communicate and brief technical baseline development, execution, and maintenance to senior engineering leadership
- Interface with and influence the SPY-6 Program Office, Naval Radar Systems Chief Engineer, and Naval Radar Systems Director
- Support international customer positioning, bid assumptions and strategy, investment requirements, and technical risk framing
- Solve problems affecting engineering directorates and disciplines
- Provide technical oversight, guidance, and coaching to hardware, software, systems, and test engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) and radar systems
- Experience balancing technical, cost, and schedule priorities on impactful tasks, issues, and pursuits
- Experience leading a multi-disciplined technical team
- Experience developing, empowering, motivating, and monitoring teams
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers and leading technical solutions to complex user requirements
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance required before start date
- U.S. citizenship required
- Experience with SPY-6 Family of Radars hardware and software products preferred
- Prior Navy customer experience preferred
- Subject matter expertise in RF systems preferred
- Experience with phased array antennas, digital receiver/exciters, high-power systems, backend processing, digital waveforms, digital beamforming, signal processing, and electronic protection methods preferred
- Experience generating system specifications and allocating requirements to hardware subsystems and components preferred
- Experience developing and maintaining software-level requirements preferred
- Experience with Naval combat systems and Aegis BL10 preferred
- Experience assessing and maintaining program Technical Performance Measures preferred
- Excellent technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills preferred
- Advanced STEM degree preferred
