Key responsibilities & impact

Perform responsibilities spanning all phases of the software engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, code development, integration, verification, and documentation
Architect, design, and develop software for real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions
Develop software tools
Support field demonstration efforts
Provide customer support
Mentor other engineers
Apply GPS/PNT systems architecture knowledge to develop navigation products for military ground, airborne, and maritime applications
Contribute to development of Positioning, Navigation and Timing products for warfighters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing Secret clearance required after day 1
Knowledge of development and test tools
Proficiency in developing embedded hardware/software applications
Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded hardware/software applications
Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
Software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition
Strong technical documentation writing skills for security certification evaluation
Experience with embedded hardware and real-time hardware systems
Experience with Eclipse, Jira, and Jama
Experience with C, C++, Ada, or other high-order languages in an embedded application environment
Experience with hardware-centric products
Experience with Python test scripting
Experience with Agile methodology
Working knowledge of Communication Systems, Message Handling, Digital Signal Processing, or Kalman Filter Theory
