Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform responsibilities spanning all phases of the software engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, code development, integration, verification, and documentation
  • Architect, design, and develop software for real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions
  • Develop software tools
  • Support field demonstration efforts
  • Provide customer support
  • Mentor other engineers
  • Apply GPS/PNT systems architecture knowledge to develop navigation products for military ground, airborne, and maritime applications
  • Contribute to development of Positioning, Navigation and Timing products for warfighters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing Secret clearance required after day 1
  • Knowledge of development and test tools
  • Proficiency in developing embedded hardware/software applications
  • Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded hardware/software applications
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
  • Software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition
  • Strong technical documentation writing skills for security certification evaluation
  • Experience with embedded hardware and real-time hardware systems
  • Experience with Eclipse, Jira, and Jama
  • Experience with C, C++, Ada, or other high-order languages in an embedded application environment
  • Experience with hardware-centric products
  • Experience with Python test scripting
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Working knowledge of Communication Systems, Message Handling, Digital Signal Processing, or Kalman Filter Theory
