About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute strategic direction and performance management to achieve organizational objectives
- Develop and implement delivery assurance strategies to ensure supplier on-time delivery, mitigate risks, and meet program requirements
- Establish and maintain metrics and KPIs to monitor supplier delivery performance and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with suppliers and procurement, quality, engineering, and program management stakeholders to resolve delivery issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct supplier performance reviews, capacity assessments, production readiness evaluations, and risk assessments
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action plans to address systemic delivery challenges and improve supply chain resilience
- Represent delivery assurance in executive-level forums, providing updates on supplier performance, risks, and mitigation plans
- Partner with procurement to negotiate delivery terms, prioritize critical needs, and escalate issues
- Support digital transformation initiatives for supply chain visibility, analytics, and decision-making
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the delivery assurance team
- Travel as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, delivery assurance, procurement, or related disciplines; OR an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with supply chain principles, delivery assurance processes, and supplier performance management
- Experience managing complex supply chain challenges
- 5+ years of experience with supply chain management tools, ERP systems, and data analytics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of implementing effective solutions to delivery issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or PMP preferred
- Aerospace or defense industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- Knowledge of government contracting and FAR/DFARS regulations preferred
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Must reside within commuting distance of Tucson, AZ
- Travel as needed
