About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead hosting delivery operations, including workload readiness, migration planning, and execution from private cloud to public cloud platforms
- Perform hosting financial analysis, cost modeling, forecasting, consumption tracking, and optimization identification
- Analyze hosting inventories, service consumption, and workload classification for strategic decision-making
- Oversee CMDB cleanup and data quality improvements covering configuration item relationships, hosting metadata, and dependency mapping
- Collaborate with application teams, architects, and cloud operations to align solutions with RTX cloud strategy and compliance requirements
- Coordinate delivery activities and timelines across teams for application and infrastructure transitions
- Maintain operational governance processes for hosting performance, availability, and cost efficiency
- Track and communicate migration progress, risks, and impacts to business partners and leadership
- Drive continuous improvement to streamline hosting processes, improve data reliability, and reduce operational friction
- Partner with vendors and outsourced service providers to ensure service levels exceed contractual requirements
- Stay current on public cloud capabilities, hosting platforms, and industry best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- University Degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program/contract
- Experience delivering hosting or cloud services at scale in enterprise environments
- Strong financial analysis skills, including cost modeling and data-driven decision-making
- Hands-on cloud migration experience; Azure or AWS preferred
- Strong understanding of private and public cloud hosting architectures
- Experience improving CMDB accuracy, configuration item lifecycle management, and dependency mapping
- Broad technical knowledge of virtualization, storage, networking, Windows/Linux operating systems, and cloud services
- Ability to learn, evaluate, and apply new technologies to hosting challenges
- Strong data analysis capabilities using Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Experience driving data center or cloud transition programs preferred
- Project management experience delivering complex infrastructure initiatives preferred
- Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define hosting solutions
- Experience working with outsourced partners and managing vendor relationships preferred
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills preferred
- Familiarity with ITIL, LEAN, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence preferred
