About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, and processing supplier submissions of nonconforming material
  • Manage and support supplier onboarding and qualification/certification
  • Manage source inspection and material release processes
  • Perform escape management, drive root cause analysis and problem solving, and recommend corrective and preventive actions for systemic supplier process and product material issues
  • Support RTX supplier programs for continuous improvement and sustainability
  • Analyze quality data to identify systemic issues and develop supplier-specific quality initiative strategies
  • Implement quality tools including PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, and SPC
  • Ensure suppliers can meet contract requirements, including Resourcing Gate, PPAP acceptance, and Work Transfer implementation
  • Influence stakeholders to follow ideas and proposals
  • Build and develop effective cross-functional teamwork
  • Travel up to 50%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Background in Electronics
  • 6+ years of professional experience in a supply chain operations environment, or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external executives and employees
  • Knowledge of system standards, authorities, regulations, standards, QMS, auditing/assessing, and risk management
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • IPC standards certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or similar field preferred
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Must be a U.S. Person
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
