About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support preparation and submission of proposals for new business, including spares, repairs, and modernization
  • Partner with functional program team members to understand, guide, and support contractual requirements
  • Work with Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, and Supply Chain to manage successful contract execution
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues
  • Ensure negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
  • Advise on contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and mitigation of contractual and programmatic risks
  • Establish effective relationships with customers and internal partners
  • Interface with customers regarding correspondence, contractual changes, and contractual issues
  • Manage contracts and engage directly with program leadership
  • Support development and production-focused contracts for domestic, FMS, and subcontractor requirements
  • Participate in business management reviews, including quarterly EAC reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Experience in contracts management, program management, business management, finance, supply chain processes, and/or procurement
  • Experience with contracts, terms and conditions, RFPs, RFQs, FAR, DFARS, or similar contracts experience
  • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
  • U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Preferred: experience negotiating, executing, and administering various contract aspects and agreements
  • Preferred: experience with FAR and DFARS requirements
  • Preferred: analysis and critical thinking for complex problem solving
  • Preferred: understanding financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
  • Preferred: experience with intellectual property, license agreements, or teaming agreements
  • Preferred: advanced degree such as MBA, JD, law degree, or Master of Science in Finance
