About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ability to apply procurement practices in a Defence supply chain environment
  • Manage procurement through to delivery, ensure delivery of supply to the required schedule, scope and quality
  • Maintain data integrity of the inventory management systems and logistics databases in support of Program requirements
  • Work with the SPO Inventory Team to ensure efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain stock levels
  • Support audit and quality assurance controls across the procurement function

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a procurement role
  • Practical commercial acumen, in particular sourcing, quotations, orders, supplier engagement and delivery management
  • Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems, eg SAP, Maximo, EAGLE or MILIS, Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • Experience within a Defence environment preferred
