About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze and make recommendations for the implementation of supplier qualification / certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes
Manage supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material
Manage the analysis of quality data and development of part / supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions
Provide research and guidance for root cause analysis & problem solving (Red-X & 8D) in escape management procedures
Develop corrective and / or preventive actions for systemic process and product design problems for product provided by suppliers
Drive support for the UTC Supplier Gold program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability
Drive support for the RTX ZERO program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
8+ years professional experience in a supply chain operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent
Strong knowledge and expertise of Quality Regulations, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Root Cause/Corrective Action, Auditing/Assessing, Risk Management / Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma), Gemba walk, PFMEA, CP, MSA, problem solving methodologies is desirable
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak effectively and easily with both internal and external executives and employees
Must be able to travel up to 50% to supplier sites.
