About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prototype Design and Development – oversee the design and development integrated radar subsystems prototypes, ensuring it meets customer requirements.
Collaborate across the multi-disciplinary team of engineers and across the business and other RTX sites, including those working other subsystems.
Responsible for the testing and validation of prototype hardware.
Support the capture of new CRAD efforts through leading the development of white papers and proposal technical volumes.
Handle technical project management tasks.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience.
Experience in mechanical design for military or aerospace or commercial applications.
Experience with innovative mechanical design and trouble shooting skills.
Experience with IRAD development in a collaborative environment.
Experience with electronic packaging.
