About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary Supplier Development representative supporting an assigned Strategic Business Unit (SBU).
- Partner closely with Procurement (Supply Chain) to understand business priorities and translate them into supplier development strategies and execution plans.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality to align supplier development activities with business needs.
- Participate in SBU operating reviews and cross-functional meetings, providing updates on supplier performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Support prioritization of supplier development resources based on business needs and operational impact.
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 30%.
- Manage and monitor SBU supplier development KPIs, including leading and lagging indicators, to evaluate supplier performance, readiness, and operational risk.
- Identify emerging supplier risks and coordinate mitigation plans with Procurement (Supply Chain) and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead supplier development activities for assigned business programs by coordinating priorities, tracking execution milestones, managing risks, and ensuring timely delivery of development objectives.
- Track progress of supplier development initiatives and communicate status, risks, and recovery actions to stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
- Experience in Supplier Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or a related function within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed organization.
- Experience in supplier performance management, capacity planning, operational readiness, and supply chain risk management.
