About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with central commodity teams to drive cost reduction goals aligned with overall commodity and business unit strategies and achieve cost objectives
- Analyze, identify, and communicate risk and opportunities to long term agreement goals, including expiring contracts
- Team with supply chain to understand and track direct supply chain savings and PAC for the Avionics business unit.
- Prepare and present metric status and performance for Supply Chain leadership.
- Drive recovery plans for cost and PAC with commodity teams
- Collaborate with Collins organizations (i.e. contracts, procurement, quality, value stream, etc.) to execute Supply Chain strategies
- Manage several projects at one time, strong project management skills
- Ability to dive into the detail and be hands on to bridge gaps where the teams need assistance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience in Supply Chain
- Experience with cost out initiatives
- Experience utilizing an MRP or ERP system such as SAP or Oracle
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Strong Analytical skills (Excel, Access database, SAP, PowerPoint) technical or manufacturing aptitude
- Experience with negotiations
