About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering support for quality notifications
  • Provide guidance for supplier technical inquiries
  • Execute hardware Engineering Changes (ECs) to improve quality, cost, and producibility metrics
  • Perform Computer-Aided Design (CAD) functions to manipulate and create geometries, models, and assemblies
  • Interpret and define tolerances and features in part drawings
  • Develop and incorporate new ways to advance technology and improve processes
  • Perform engineering analyses such as structural assessments and other calculations
  • Support escape investigations, identifying root causes and execute implementation of corrective actions
  • Provide design support in integrated product teams to implement design solutions that balance performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Prepare and present status and technical content to Program Chief Engineers, APU management, customers, and suppliers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 2 years of engineering experience or an Advanced degree in Engineering
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
