About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Workforce Learning team is responsible for the creation, delivery, and oversight of technical training provided at Raytheon including skills and performance training, safety training, and compliance training.
  • This role will focus on instructional design and development.
  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in adult learning theory, have advanced Articulate Storyline skills, have fundamental skills with Adobe applications including Photoshop, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Expertise with SharePoint is desirable.
  • Use software to design and develop engaging and interactive instructor-led and web-based training.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to create meaningful training experiences.
  • Manage effective relationships with customers, peers, and leaders while performing all tasks related to training design, development, deployment, and evaluation.
  • Lead project teams responsible for the creation, maintenance, or revision of training materials.
  • Follow all internal processes and meet quality gates in all training projects.
  • Demonstrate effective project management skills.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of people and departments who sometimes have conflicting priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in instructional design in a large corporate environment and a portfolio of work that demonstrates software and adult learning theory competence.
  • Expert level understanding of adult learning theory.
  • Advanced Storyline skills.
  • Well organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a project team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Demonstrated experience using one or more instructional design models including ADDIE, SAM, or LLAMA.
