About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify Bottleneck/Capacity Constraints that will be used to develop improvement and mitigation plans for improved on time delivery from suppliers
- Acquire a vision of the big picture and understand that enhancing operational effectiveness is key to organizational business performance
- Drive for results, consistently pursuing continued ways to accomplish goals and objectives that requires your extraordinary determination, self-motivation, and interpersonal skills to satisfy our Customer’s needs.
- Develop a strong understanding of the products and the operational processes they go through at the suppliers you will be working with.
- Ability to generate and gain opportunities to break functional, operational, & logistical barriers faced with getting products out the door.
- Reveal and work to remove barriers to business goals specific to the on-time delivery of parts.
- Effectively driving tasks/projects to completion which includes Leading Indicator (LI) data collection : RM availability and on order, WIP tracking , Quality notification closures, and Sub- Tier supplier tracking.
- Working with multiple projects and interact with several departments and various levels of management simultaneously
- Manage / assist with process improvement projects, prioritizes project work, and support the needs of CORE operating system
- Utilizes project management approach and process improvement discipline to lead projects according to plan, including identifying and mitigating project risks
- Gather feedback and work to identify new improvement projects in conjunction with Supplier Development Leaders
- Will be an active participant in Commodity Days, EMMs and SEMO (Supplier Exec Management Overviews), and Co-lead with our customers and Supplier Development Leaders on the respective Supplier
- Must be able to travel up to 80% of your time within the San Diego County, CA, or Mexico
- On-site at suppliers 80% of your time
- 20% of the time working from home office
Requirements
What you’ll need- A College Degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of prior delivery assurance, supply chain, or related experience; or an advanced degree with 2 years of experience.
- Reside in the San Diego County, CA, or Mexico Area
- U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proficient in SAP and Qlik/ Power BI
- Learns quickly, grasps the 'essence of what is happening’, and can change the course quickly
- Builds strong relationships with peers and partners outside of team to enable higher performance
- Openly considers the ideas of others, analyzes, and develops innovation to reality
