About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the procurement team and establish effective measures of performance and metrics
- Ensure members of the team have the correct knowledge issuing POs (FAR/DFAR), accurate metrics and skills to perform assigned purchasing tasks and provide on the job training and support to address skill and knowledge gaps
- Support team members to work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify, define, and refine the scope of supply, purchasing requirements, and statement of work for procurement activities
- Manage compliance with procurement process and ensure all required approvals are in place prior to purchase order release
- Engage with relevant specialists to address identified conflicts and/or risks with terms and supplier conditions that vary from standard company purchase order terms
- Support supplier engagement activities including negotiations and supplier performance management where appropriate
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
- Availability to travel at a minimum of 25%
