About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead procurement processes, sourcing strategies, RFP development, supplier negotiations, and cost analysis activities.
Purchase goods, materials, and services while ensuring favorable commercial terms and compliance with company policies.
Prepare and manage purchase orders, pricing agreements, and procurement documentation.
Analyze supplier pricing, financial data, and market trends to support sourcing decisions and cost reduction initiatives.
Develop bid packages and evaluate supplier proposals for new business opportunities.
Monitor supplier and contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and business requirements.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Program Management to resolve complex supply chain issues.
Proactively identify, mitigate, and minimize supply chain risks to prevent production disruptions.
Manage supplier relationships, expediting deliveries, resolving shortages, and driving continuous performance improvements.
Prepare procurement metrics, presentations, and executive-level reports while supporting audits, recovery plans, leadership reviews, and traveling up to 10–15% as business needs require.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Prior SAP experience and procurement experience preferred.
Understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, supplier performance management, and FAR/DFAR regulations preferred.
APICS or ISM certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or CPM) are a plus.
