About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide cloud operations services and support for primarily Microsoft Azure and potentially some Amazon AWS environments.
- Provide system administration services for Linux and Windows Server virtual machines.
- Resolve incidents and fulfill service requests.
- Investigate and permanently resolve problems.
- Contribute to proactive problem management.
- Design, document, test, implement changes.
- Contribute to compliance and vulnerability management through patching, endpoint protection, and maintenance of key software installed on VMs.
- Contribute to enhancement of monitoring and automation.
- Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation roster - day to be confirmed.
- Second shift opportunity to allow for added coverage required by the PST program.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a multi-cloud environment including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services including their associated networking, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with Datadog, Azure Monitor, AWS Cloudwatch, ServiceNow, Statseeker, Netscout, and/or other monitoring tools.
- Experience managing production infrastructure and applications utilizing ITIL v3 (2011) or v4 best practices.
- Technical communication including the ability to author professional user facing documentation targeted at various user audiences.
- Microsoft Azure/AWS certifications preferred.
- Experience with SQL Server, Log Analytics, and Qlik.
