Procurement Specialist, Commodity Management & Sourcing
RTXWork Transfer Principal Specialist executing make-to-buy and buy-to-buy projects for Avionics. Onboarding suppliers and ensuring successful transitions through project management and collaboration.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Onboard supplier, to ensure the qualification of parts in the transition from initial delivery through rate production.
- Develop Work Transfer project plans, schedule, and lead cadence meetings for projects ensuring buy-in from product stakeholders including customers and suppliers.
- Make appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to the established project plan and schedule.
- Consolidate and present progress reports relating to business aspects of the project to many levels of leadership.
- Regularly interact and interface with internal customers such as Value Stream Leaders to ensure coordination and integration with the applicable program demand schedule, understanding end customer uses and expectations/requirements.
- Ensure milestone deliverables to the Gated Work Transfer process, such as FAI, production test, drawing review, supplier risk assessments, and supplier contracts are completed to successfully transfer the work package on schedule.
- Develop and manage the inventory transition plan to ensure continued supply of products for manufacturing customers during the transition.
- Ensure compliance to technical and regulatory requirements including approvals, certifications, and qualifications.
- Ensure new supplier has demonstrated production capability prior to hand-off to sustaining organizations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in both spoken and written English.
