About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Represent the organization on contractual matters and provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders.
Ensure all contracting activities comply with corporate policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
Lead the negotiation and execution of complex commercial contracts.
Review customer RFPs, assess requirements and terms, support proposal development, and coordinate internal approvals.
Identify contractual and business risks and recommend clear, practical mitigation strategies.
Partner with program management and develop an understanding of relevant products, services, and technical considerations.
Deliver strategic analysis and recommendations to support business and contractual decisions.
Prepare accurate, complete, and professionally formatted documentation for negotiations and contractual records.
Maintain organized, audit-ready contract files in accordance with departmental standards.
Manage multiple projects of varying complexity while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
Support business travel up to 10%.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
Commercial contracts experience in a manufacturing environment
Contracts aerospace experience supporting airlines, airframe manufacturers, and aftermarket programs or services
U.S. Government contract experience
Experience working with FAR and DFARS
