About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent the organization on contractual matters and provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all contracting activities comply with corporate policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of complex commercial contracts.
- Review customer RFPs, assess requirements and terms, support proposal development, and coordinate internal approvals.
- Identify contractual and business risks and recommend clear, practical mitigation strategies.
- Partner with program management and develop an understanding of relevant products, services, and technical considerations.
- Deliver strategic analysis and recommendations to support business and contractual decisions.
- Prepare accurate, complete, and professionally formatted documentation for negotiations and contractual records.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready contract files in accordance with departmental standards.
- Manage multiple projects of varying complexity while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Support business travel up to 10%.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
- Commercial contracts experience in a manufacturing environment
- Contracts aerospace experience supporting airlines, airframe manufacturers, and aftermarket programs or services
- U.S. Government contract experience
- Experience working with FAR and DFARS
