About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategies, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
- Support, reviews and assess request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and ensure adherence to the plan.
- Work closely with Operations, Planning and Finance functions to optimize planning and supply chain cycle to meet development requirements.
- Support and engage with various Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to resolve supply chain issues and serve as supply chain SME for other functional areas.
- Lead projects to enhance Supply Chain performance and continuous improvement.
- Support supply chain lead for internal and external audits regarding material and cost validations.
- Set objectives and guides others on execution/approach for achievement of developmental results.
- Explain policies, practices, and procedures and may influence others.
- Problems faced are difficult and require consideration of multiple variables and courage to make risk-based decisions.
- Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Industry experience in Aerospace and Defense.
- Experience with supply chain, vendor management, Risk Assessment/Mitigation and/or performance management.
- ERP work experience, i.e., SAP.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Prior experience as a Materials Program Manager, proposal experience applying FAR standards is preferred.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and multi-site leadership is preferred.
- Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering Related Subject is preferred.
- Project management experience is a strong plus.
- Existing Secret clearance is preferred.
