About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess MOC (Material of Concern) data at part and assembly level, including material and finish processes
  • Coordinate with the design team on material selection and MOC validation for new designs according to company policy
  • Identify and validate alternative materials for REACH compliance
  • Work with customers to address chemical regulatory queries and provide supporting documentation
  • Identify regulatory risks to products and prepare mitigation plans
  • Propose sustainable alternatives and lead long-term roadmaps for high-impact material transitions
  • Participate in global chemical and environmental regulatory compliance projects
  • Interpret complex chemical regulations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and maintain accurate compliance documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 to 6 years of work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Material, or Metallurgical Engineering
  • Strong understanding of global chemical regulatory frameworks, including REACH, CLP, GHS, RoHS, and TSCA
  • Knowledge of CDX, SAP EHSM, Sphera, and other chemical regulation risk-mitigation tools
  • Strong understanding of electronic materials, soldering processes, PCB fabrication, and surface finishes
  • Ability to interpret evolving regulations such as EU REACH, EPA PFAS, TSCA, and Japan CSCL
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, SDS, BoMs, chemical compositions, and regulatory documents
  • Knowledge of materials, conformal coating, encapsulation, high-temperature electronics, and corrosion protection processes according to aerospace industry standards
  • Hands-on experience with materials testing, data analysis, and failure analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC-2221, MIL-STD-883, SAE, and ASTM standards
  • Experience with basic operations of CATIA V5 and UG NX CAD tools
  • Experience in electronic product MOC assessment and RoHS regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of Siemens PLM Teamcenter
  • Basic knowledge of product design, materials selection, and process development
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with MS Office tools
  • Background check required for all external new hires in India; drug screening only for operations positions
