About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support internal controls reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and special cross-functional and ad-hoc analysis
- Provide technical and analytical guidance to the site controllers on key metric, deliverable, reporting requirements and ad-hoc analysis
- Build finance capabilities, tools and skills to increase efficiency and value of the Finance team across the business
- Monitor and analyze general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions while supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Serve as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, and operational teams to facilitate journal entries, provide SAP guidance, and resolve accounting-related inquiries
- Respond to ad hoc financial and accounting requests, including invoice research and resolution, financial reporting support, and analysis of P&L and balance sheet activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Accounting/Finance experience in multiple disciplines (e.g., program finance, functional-area finance, rates & budgets, material accounting, labor accounting, direct accounting, and overhead accounting)
- SAP experience
- Experience with OneStream
- Microsoft suites: Office365, PowerPoint, Excel
- Experience with continuous improvement such as Lean, Six sigma, or CORE
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience communicating with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels
- Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
