About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure engine and control system hardware and software are properly configured to support ground and flight test operations, including setup, validation, and readiness activities.
- Perform engine system performance evaluation and prognostic health analysis, document findings, and troubleshoot control system issues to drive timely resolution.
- Support the full test execution lifecycle by participating in test planning, pre‑ and post‑test briefings, mission control room data monitoring, and coordination with test cell and flight line teams.
- Execute and maintain software and diagnostic tools used during testing, ensuring accurate configuration, data integrity, and effective communication of status and emerging issues.
- Configure and execute test checkout of hardware/software configurations on electronic verification benches.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 5 years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Background in aerospace propulsion and/or engine control systems.
- Experience using Linux environments and familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl and/or Python.
- Experience in web development, PHP, SQL databases.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and adapt to evolving test schedules and program needs.
