About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform procurement actions utilizing integrated supply chain models in compliance with all FAR/DFARS regulatory and corporate requirements
- Preparation of all manner of solicitations including RFQs, RFPs, and RFI
- Place Purchase Orders of high dollar levels and procurement complexity
- Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems
- Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms)
- Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques
- Manage Supplier Relationship, Development, and Performance
- Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet company metric targets
- Review drawings, specifications, and purchase history to determine sourcing strategy
- Work with and review Statement of Work (SOW) documents
- Formally document purchase orders per internal procedures
- Perform routine post-award management activities
- Communicate clearly and be proactive in a very fast-paced environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), ITAR OR import/export requirements
- Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, T&M, etc.)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
