About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop export and import strategies for the vetting of international suppliers, PO issuance, and foreign manufacturing of defense and dual use articles.
- Develop licensing plans and provide guidance for complex licensing strategies and program planning.
- Provide consistent interpretation under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to Business Unit employees.
- Prepare, submit, track, obtain and manage from the U.S. government, all necessary export and import licenses, permits, and certifications.
- Work closely with internal customers to develop export and import approvals that allow for the efficient export of technology, technical data, hardware, and services.
- Ensure review of the scope of the effort with the applicable functions, stakeholders and the foreign parties prior to submittal.
- Obtain signed agreements and other required documentations from foreign parties.
- Provide status updates to the programs/stakeholders for awareness.
- Review approvals to ensure execution and deliverables are considered.
- Manage day-to-day execution of agreements and licenses, ensuring compliance for all activities under the agreements and licenses.
- Monitor authorizations for any changes effecting the authorizations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience and application of US GT regulations such as; ITAR, EAR, Customs, ATF, etc.
- Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, OCR EASE and/or SAP/GTS related system
- Experience in drafting, submitting, implementing, and managing agreements, licenses, General Correspondences, Third Party Transfers, complex export strategies, and /or similar requests
