About the role

  • Develop a concept of operations on how the product should function and define specific product features
  • Create product definitions, features and capabilities based on customer requirements and define the product backlog
  • Create actionable user stories for development teams and manage product backlog
  • Act as a critical technical liaison between the 3 manufacturing sectors and integrate solutions across various sites
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives and act as the voice of the customer within the development team
  • Design products focused on cost-effectiveness and rapid time-to-market across different sectors
  • Develop product launch plans and marketing strategies
  • Monitor product adoption and usage metrics and product performance KPIs
  • Gather customer feedback and usage metrics to inform product decisions
  • Maintain product documentation
  • Responsible for driving successful delivery of software products that align with strategic goals

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
  • 10+ years relevant professional experience (or minimum 8 years with an advanced degree)
  • At least 4 years of experience with Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory technologies (if following 10+ years path)
  • Experience bridging the gap between a product's vision and its successful delivery across multiple businesses while working with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically up to 25% of the time
  • DoD Clearance: Secret (security clearance requirement)
  • Preferred: 3+ years as a Product Owner or similar role
  • Preferred: Expertise in Agile methodologies and backlog management (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Preferred: Experience with Product management tools (DevOps, MS Project)
  • Preferred: Experience with software development lifecycle and software development methodologies
  • Preferred: Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles
  • Preferred: Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Preferred: Certification in Agile methodologies (Certified Scrum Product Owner)
  • Preferred: Experience with transition to production of software products
  • Preferred: Continuous improvement/growth, quality and analytical mindset
