About the role
- Primary finance business partner reporting to the Finance Controller supporting cross-functional teams
- Drive monthly financial analysis within forecasting/reporting to identify trends, risks, and upsides
- Provide finance support to management including business case development, program performance, P&L projections, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Lead Sales, Repairs and Product Line teams to perform monthly forecast process and assist with annual budget and long-range planning
- Develop and distribute standard and ad-hoc monthly reporting and financial reports for forecasting, trending, and variance analysis
- Prepare journal entries, calculate accruals, allocate expenses, and closely interact with Finance team during month-end close
- Liaison with Collins Central and SBUs’ Finance as central point of contact for FP&A questions
- Troubleshoot financial systems, provide best practices, and create/iterate standardized processes, tools and templates to drive efficiencies
- Support senior management level reviews as needed and foster strong cross-functional partnerships
Requirements
- University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required (U.S. Person/immigration status requirement)
- Knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, and complex accounting systems
- Experience with OneStream, BlackLine/ARMs, Hyperion HFM, and SAP (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI (preferred)
- Experience in forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, variance analysis, and P&L projections
- Ability to prepare journal entries, calculate accruals, allocate expenses, and support month-end close
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working for a Fortune 500 company or in the Aerospace and Defense industry is a plus
