Key responsibilities & impact

Apply systems thinking to software engineering challenges
Perform software high-level design at the System-of-Systems level
Develop Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
Collaborate with Systems Architects, Technical Leads, and cross-discipline teams
Architect, implement, test, and debug embedded real-time software
Participate in major design reviews
Mentor less experienced engineers
Occasional business travel may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or STEM
Minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
Experience with software architecture for complex system of systems
Experience with engineering and modeling tools (Cameo or Enterprise Architect and MS Visio)
Familiarity with MOSA standards including OMS and AMS-GRA
Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications in C++ or related software languages
Experience with Linux, VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems
Product-domain experience in RF or EO/IR Sensors, Electronic Warfare, Effectors, Communications, or Multi-domain Mission Systems
