About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interface as the Program Quality Engineering Lead for LTAMDS supporting Program Manager execution of key ESM tasks responsible for funding Quality across CPT (Cross Product Teams), IPT (Integrated Product Team), Functions, and program
- Drive Quality tasks, participate in design reviews, CCB sign offs, qualification planning, flight test walk ups, IR (Independent Reviewer), and trade study in support of ESM tasking
- Support sustainment team with fielded assets driving continued improvements in hardware, system, software, reliability, and maintainability
- Coordinate program/customer reviews, meetings, internal handoffs and customer deliveries aligned to ESM execution
- Manage a team of LTAMDS Quality Engineers; handling staffing, performance reviews, and development planning
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in accordance with AS9145 and New Product Introduction (NPI) to establish Product Maturity
- Use technical expertise to review Engineering work products (e.g., technical analysis, technical data packages) to identify and eliminate defects
- Participate in technical peer reviews of initial design releases, change incorporation, prototype development, and test plans
- Evaluate technical requirements and manufacturing trade-offs to assess potential risks or opportunities and collaborate with Engineering on mitigation action plans
- Lead root cause initiatives and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Support new pursuits through proposal development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Relevant experience in an engineering discipline
- Experience developing and leading teams
- Experience in hardware design, reliability, and/or manufacturability assessments
- Experience in leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective / preventive actions
- Past work history implementing quality strategies
- Experience analyzing quality and other metrics to direct and/or achieve measurable results
