About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support global indirect tax planning initiatives to optimize global efficiency, mitigate risk and compliance with regulations.
- Evaluate transactions, supply chains, and contracts to identify global indirect tax risks and opportunities.
- Provide clear, practical global indirect tax guidance to stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support global indirect tax related aspects of business expansions, restructurings, and new product launches.
- Develop and maintain global indirect tax strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend necessary planning actions.
- Enhance indirect tax controls, processes, and documentation to strengthen governance.
- Collaborate with external advisors for specialized jurisdictional guidance.
- Cultivate strong relationship with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Support indirect tax audits by preparing technical positions and managing discussions with tax authorities.
- Up to 25% travel required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
- Strong technical foundation in VAT/GST.
- Self-directed leader with a strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex tax concepts to non-tax customers.
- Must reside and be able to work in the US without sponsorship or relocation.
