About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform pricing and cost proposal development in accordance with customer requirements and current government regulations, laws and company policies.
- Provide pricing support for all phases of the proposal process from pre-RFP activities through fact-finding, government audits, negotiations and award.
- Assess RFP requirements – translating them into a fully compliant cost proposal.
- Develop pricing strategies, constructing flexible cost/pricing Excel models, and meeting schedule and compliance requirements to submit compelling and winning cost volumes.
- Develop detailed bidding guidelines which are used to initiate proposals
- Work with functions from across the company to develop the labor, material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts
- Provide support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound
- Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
- Prepare and present limited complexity charts for program/company leadership review of proposal information
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Finance or related field of study
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel (i.e., basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), (TINA) and/or other government procurement regulations as they pertain to bid/cost proposals.
- Possess good investigative/analytical abilities
- Strong organization skills
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines in a schedule driven environment
- Effective planning and scheduling skills that lead to the completion of proposal efforts in accordance with customer and company requirements
- Effective communication skills – including verbal, written and presentation skills
- Experience in ProPricer pricing software is desired but not required
- Active Secret Clearance is a plus, but not required
