Senior Manager, Engineering

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute a long-range engineering roadmap aligned with business priorities, collaborating with global and local stakeholders.
- Manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team of engineers and engineering managers across software, electronics, and mechanical domains.
- Advance the technical depth of the organization to support increasing engineering ownership and delegation.
- Drive performance across cost, schedule, quality, and technical metrics.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with cross-functional teams, global program partners, and senior leaders.
- Lead efforts in talent acquisition, development, mentorship, and retention.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational accountability.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- Minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- 2-3 years in Engineering leadership experience, including managing complex programs and cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed environment.
