About the role

  • Be responsible for the development, analysis and completion of labor proposals
  • Work with other functions from across the company to understand and evaluate the labor and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and the associated program
  • Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
  • Lead the development of recurring operations labor Basis of Estimates to include tracking progress, validating actuals, analyzing projected labor indices and part level history, ensuring consistency across programs, and confirming the estimating approach is sound
  • Ensure proposals comply with all FAR and internal requirements
  • Assess, develop and implement solutions leading to a thorough touch labor estimate
  • Perform detailed and complex analysis of inputs to ensure soundness in our labor estimates
  • Support gate reviews, government audits, and negotiations with the customer
  • Prepare various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (i.e. basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.) [preferred]
  • Strong organization and analytical skills [preferred]
  • Ability to work well in teams, with peers and management [preferred]
  • Strong oral and written communication skills [preferred]
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meeting deadlines in a schedule driven environment [preferred]
  • Knowledge and experience with proposal development, price buildup, and estimating and pricing processes [preferred]
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with federal proposal regulations including but not limited to: FAR, DFAR, TINA [preferred]
