About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop technical solutions for a broad range of mechanism and machine design challenges supporting advanced radar systems and subsystems
Design and analyze motion control actuation systems
Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of mechanisms
Support the full mechanical design lifecycle
Create and support 3D models, engineering drawings, tolerance analyses, and manufacturing documentation
Partner with manufacturing and test teams to support prototype builds
Participate in technical and design reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Experience of mechanical design for military or aerospace or commercial applications
Experience with development of different actuation drive systems
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5
Experience with CREO(Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software
Experience with ANSYS Mechanical or similar FEA modeling software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
