About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace System requirements.
- Design, develop, and model systems and sub-systems.
- Develop and verify test procedures at the system and sub-system levels.
- Building complicated models using SysML for activity, state, block diagrams, and use cases.
- Utilize JIRA to decompose features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Support project level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals.
- Identify program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects.
- Represent aspects of the Systems design at internal and external customer meetings.
- Support communication between functional discipline groups within the organization.
- Engage in classified lab environments to apply your expertise hands-on.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with network architectures using physical and virtual networks with VMware or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle) in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Proven experience of mentoring a team of Systems Engineers.
- Effective communication skills with all levels of management, program team members, and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in systems engineering to include capturing customer requirements, operations concept development, deriving and tracing system and sub-system requirements.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
