About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, conduct, and plan internal QMS audits for compliance to the AS9100 series of standards in support of the Raytheon Quality Management System.
Perform all formal responsibilities of a Sr. Manager and Lead Auditor such as audit team selection; audit planning; representing the audit team with Raytheon’s site stakeholders; conducting opening and closing meetings and daily debriefs with stakeholders; completing an audit report; and issuing, reviewing, approving formal corrective actions overseeing a team.
Serve as a liaison and interface to the Enterprise Audit Team during site audits.
Facilitate the Enterprise Audit schedules, logistics, and closure of corrective actions.
Prepare the sites for the Enterprise and NQA Audits.
Analyze audit performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement; recommend and facilitate Enterprise level improvement initiatives and actions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a ten (10) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience.
At least eight (8) years of QMS auditing experience within the aerospace or automotive industry.
Previous experience managing a small staff of auditors and/or previous lead auditor responsibilities.
Working experience in auditing to the AS9100 standards.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
