About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the Contracts Lead during the pre-proposal strategy, proposal development, negotiation, and start-up phases of programs
- Coach and mentor other Contracts team members
- Analyze Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, and contract administration
- Work closely within cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate terms and conditions and pricing proposal
- Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual and program risks
- Establish and enhance effective working relationships with customers and internal partners, to include Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results
- Demonstrate business acumen and provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies
- Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
- Effectively communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization
- Up to 10% travel will be required to customer locations and Raytheon locations in Massachusetts, Arizona, California, and Alabama
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. citizenship is required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Management or Contracts Administration, Acquisitions or Procurement
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
