About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with the Portfolio Excellence team driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and alignment across the portfolio to ensure successful program execution and strategic outcomes.
Focus on program execution resourcing and training, ensure compliance with engineering standards, processes, and reviews.
Lead initiatives to enhance program execution effectiveness.
Collaborate across programs and engineering teams to identify efficiencies, share resources, and support the development of best practices.
Understand and manage both customer and IR&D funded projects.
Guide team members on the management of scope, schedule, and budget for engineering design activities.
Participate directly in project management and execution, including Earned Value and Risk Management.
Demonstrate sound decision-making skills, strategic thinking, and accurately forecast resource needs.
Occasionally travel to support program events and related external activities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in collecting and analyzing engineering metrics for decision making.
Experience in proposals and projects execution leadership role that included responsibility for scope, schedule, and budget management.
Experience with STAGES Tailoring and RLPM gates.
Experience in engineer program execution, following IMS, Earned Value, and R&O management.
Demonstrated experience applying effective leadership.
Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively and building partnerships with others inside and outside the parent organization.
Experience in project management and execution, including Earned Value and Risk Management.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.
