About the role
- Support operation and maintenance activities of RF sensor system and Coyote UAS weapon platform
- Perform radar or coyote assembly, overhaul, repair, modification, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Assist in planning, perform data analysis, and support system integration and testing
- Communicate regularly with fellow Test Field Engineers and Field Engineering Lead to ensure solidarity within the Testing team
- Receive technical guidance and tasking from supervisor or higher-level technician; work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices
- Frequent participation in offsite customer locations and travel to test ranges and military sites (Yuma Proving Grounds, China Lake, White Sands, Ft Bliss, etc.)
- Use tools and test equipment for electronic installation, maintenance, and test
- Perform Depot Support maintenance activities on electronics or radar as required
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Security Clearance: Secret - Current
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Associate’s and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience
- Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience in the repair of military sensor or radar systems
- Experience in the repair of military UAS systems
- Experience in the military working with Depot Support maintenance on electronics or radar
- Experience with the tools and test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance, and test
- Experience with Coyote/Ku Radar/M-LIDS
- Graduate of US military sensor or radar technical school (preferred)
- Experience with military generators (preferred)
- Experience with tactical HVAC systems (preferred)
- COLTS Logistics Database Certification (preferred)
- Must be a self-starter and the ability to align priorities appropriately and work
- Must possess excellent technical writing, oral communication, and negotiation skills
- Must be able to move and/or lift weights up to 49 pounds
- Extensive travel expected (~75%) with frequent offsite customer locations and possible little to no notice
