About the role
- Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and works closely with customers to develop business relationships.
- Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, partner with Programs and cross functional team members to develop creative solutions and resolve contractual matters.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions.
- Partner with Key Program Functions in the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts implementation, as well as general contract administration.
- Conduct timely and effective negotiations and resolution of customer issues to maximize key financial metrics.
- Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking creative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/ obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.
- Multi-task routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge.
Requirements
- Typically requires University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
- Experience as a Contracts Lead and/or leading contracts negotiations with customer
- Experience with FPIF type contracts and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
- Experience with DoD weapons contracts, either industry or federal
