About the role
- Lead architecture assurance initiatives across corporate functions to ensure alignment with RTX’s enterprise strategy, compliance with policies, and adherence to architectural principles
- Develop and enhance enterprise-wide architecture assurance frameworks, methodologies, and governance standards
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by providing insights into architectural risks, opportunities, and innovations
- Conduct architecture reviews for key corporate programs and projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and RTX's technology roadmap
- Collaborate with corporate IT, cybersecurity, and digital transformation teams to develop solutions that optimize efficiency, scalability, and security
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks, ensuring proactive planning and resolution
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural decisions and drive competitive advantage
- Provide mentorship to team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the corporate architecture team
- Prepare and present architecture assurance reports, metrics, and recommendations to executive leadership
Requirements
- Minimum of 12+ years’ experience in enterprise architect, architect assurance or systems engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree
- Expertise in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar methodologies
- Proven track record of working in a highly matrixed, complex corporate environment and managing cross-functional teams
- Experience with Planview EA, Sparx EA, and ServiceNow
- Familiarity with corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements
