About the role

  • Lead architecture assurance initiatives across corporate functions to ensure alignment with RTX’s enterprise strategy, compliance with policies, and adherence to architectural principles
  • Develop and enhance enterprise-wide architecture assurance frameworks, methodologies, and governance standards
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by providing insights into architectural risks, opportunities, and innovations
  • Conduct architecture reviews for key corporate programs and projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and RTX's technology roadmap
  • Collaborate with corporate IT, cybersecurity, and digital transformation teams to develop solutions that optimize efficiency, scalability, and security
  • Identify and mitigate architectural risks, ensuring proactive planning and resolution
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural decisions and drive competitive advantage
  • Provide mentorship to team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the corporate architecture team
  • Prepare and present architecture assurance reports, metrics, and recommendations to executive leadership

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12+ years’ experience in enterprise architect, architect assurance or systems engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree
  • Expertise in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar methodologies
  • Proven track record of working in a highly matrixed, complex corporate environment and managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Planview EA, Sparx EA, and ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements
