About the role
- Manage the design and integration of complex assemblies in accordance with the product development process.
- Provide design oversight for specifications, drawings, and test plans.
- Perform system and component requirements reviews and compliance assessments.
- Develop and manage project risk and mitigation plans.
- Develop and deliver detailed presentations for product design reviews.
- Support product verification, certification, and production implementation.
- Conduct Relentless Root Cause and Corrective Action (RRCCA) investigations for field and production engine test component removals.
- Coordinate Class I and Class II engineering changes through Configuration Control Board processes.
- Coordinate efforts with Category 1 suppliers to execute engineering tasks required to support program and customer milestones and objectives.
- Develop and present project status updates and closure plans to engineering and program leadership.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Prior experience managing multiple projects or priorities simultaneously while meeting challenging schedules and delivering within budget.
- Experience delivering project milestones by coordinating team activities, tracking progress against schedules, and resolving technical or schedule-related issues.
- Experience developing and maintaining project plans, including defining scope, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project, for project scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating project activities across functions without direct reporting authority.
- Experience managing external suppliers or vendors, including coordination of deliverables and schedules.
- Experience creating and maintaining project schedules and status reports using Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
- Experience communicating project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership through presentations or written reports.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements or risk mitigation actions within project execution.
