About the role
- Oversee ES Digital Services financial support - including cost center management, labor planning, and forecast governance - ensuring accurate reflection of costs and risks in the plan.
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast and planning cycles (AOP, Brochure, LRP) in compliance with government accounting regulations (CAS/FAR) and in alignment with enterprise financial commitments
- Develop and maintain financial models, variance analyses, and performance dashboards that provide leadership with timely, accurate, and actionable insight across the Digital portfolio
- Serve as the Finance lead for reporting and implementation efforts across Digital Services - partnering with transformation teams to ensure financial data integrity, cost alignment, and governance compliance throughout the initiative.
- Translate Digital program milestones and scope changes into financial impact assessments and forecast adjustments, ensuring leadership has a clear and current view of program economics.
- Partner with BU finance counterparts and cross-functional teams to ensure portfolio consolidation-driven scope and cost transfers are reflected accurately across all affected cost centers and funding sources.
- Lead business capabilities, reporting and process integration across the full Digital Services portfolio - driving automation, standardization, and consistency in financial reporting from ES Applications through Data, Cyber, and CDS.
- Partner with BU finance teams and Digital leadership to develop scalable, repeatable reporting frameworks that support executive decision-making and portfolio-level transparency.
- Identify and implement process improvements and reporting enhancements - including Power BI and automated financial workflows - that increase forecast accuracy and reduce manual effort across the team.
- Serve as a key liaison between Finance, Business Operations, and Digital functional leadership on cross-portfolio reporting, cost allocation models, and shared service economics.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of FP&A analysts - setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating growth opportunities aligned with individual and organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain a high-performance team culture grounded in accountability, analytical rigor, and executive-ready communication standards.
- Delegate effectively across the team, ensuring workload is appropriately distributed and analysts are developing ownership of their respective portfolios.
- Partner with senior finance leadership to contribute to talent strategy, workforce planning, and the continued build-out of the Digital Services finance function.
- Ensure all financial activities across the Digital portfolio are compliant with government accounting regulations (CAS/FAR) and internal disclosure statement requirements.
- Prepare and present executive-level financial briefings to VP and SVP stakeholders - summarizing key performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Manage and support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and documentation standards across all areas of responsibility.
- Communicate and coordinate with parties within and outside the organization - including BU counterparts, vendors, and cross-functional teams - on financial governance and shared cost model matters.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team of finance professionals in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of government accounting regulations (CAS/FAR) and disclosure statement governance - with a track record of ensuring compliance across a complex portfolio.
- Advanced financial modeling, data analysis, and systems experience - including SAP, Power BI, and related financial platforms.
- Proven ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results with minimal oversight across a large and complex portfolio.
- Exceptional executive communication skills - written and verbal - with demonstrated experience presenting financial insights and recommendations to VP and SVP-level stakeholders.
- Experience with cost center management, cross-charging, labor planning, and multi-source funding in a large enterprise environment.
