About the role

Design, develop, test, and release software products for Radar or C2 programs.
Work on an agile team responsible for developing and delivering software for MDS Department programs.
Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time application software and tools, including development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
Follow established development practices and processes to maintain configuration management of software products.
Learn Missile Defense Systems and/or Command and Control (C2) Systems, large-scale software development, and CI/CD testing frameworks and best practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related (STEM) discipline.
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
Experience developing software with C, C++, Java, or Ada.
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date (stated elsewhere in posting).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), configuration management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory), and data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python) (preferred).
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications (preferred).
Well-developed communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills (preferred).
Experience contributing to a team environment for developing solutions to complex technical problems (preferred).
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements (preferred).
Ability to promote a culture of continuous learning, cross-team collaboration and training (preferred).
Ability to work 100% onsite and collaboratively with a team.
