About the role
- Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, for systems and equipment in accordance with system requirements.
- Support the product production lines and global supply base to investigation and resolve technical challenges and obsolescence throughout the production and sustainment phases of the product life cycle.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
- Support and participate in design peer reviews, resolving action items, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.
- Support technical data package creation, changes, and/or variances.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Experience utilizing mechanical engineering principles in the design, development, and/or production of mechanical equipment and/or hardware and/or tooling
- Experience in the development, creation, release, or updates of engineering drawings utilizing a 3D CAD design tool
- Experience in the review and interpretation of technical documentation utilized in the development or production of hardware products
- Experience with Dimensioning and Tolerancing analysis.
