About the role
- Analyzes, researches, designs and develops materials, and their related fabrication and application processes, to optimize materials for use in engineering design and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems.
- Supporting Materials and Process Engineering (M&PE) Team, working and leading in Materials Design Processes like Materials and Process (M&P) Matrix, MP&E Standard Works, etc.
- Involved in some Global Chemical Substances efforts where regulations knowledge and analyses would be required.
- Perform material analyses that include, but are not limited to analysis of components, parts and materials decompositions, systems and subsystems analyses, data management that could trigger to some tool development, etc., requirement / specifications definition.
- Apply principles of chemistry, physics, mechanics, and materials behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic, and processing specifications etc., establishing standards supporting several teams across the globe.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience working with Engineering manufacturing processes, materials, or environmental regulations
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering Degree
- An Advanced Degree in the related field
- Experience working manufacturing process, materials, regulations
- Experience working in the aerospace industry
- Experience in Siemens NX, Visio, Solidworks
- Experience interacting with Mechanical/Electrical Computer Aided Design Resources (MCAD and ECAD)
- Experience working with Teamcenter and/or SAP
- Knowledge and Experience working Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Drawings, Modeling.
- Programming knowledge on Python, or MATLAB, Power Automate, Power BI
- Knowledge in metals, structures, polymers and composites and environmental / chemical regulations
