About the role

  • Design, develop, and implement data architecture solutions to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational data needs
  • Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and middleware platforms, ensuring robust data integration and efficient storage solutions
  • Manage secure data transfers using SFTP protocols while ensuring compliance with company and industry data protection standards
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain data controls to ensure the integrity and reliability of data across systems and workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements, translating them into actionable technical solutions
  • Lead project management efforts for data-related initiatives, including project planning, timeline management, and stakeholder communication
  • Coordinate with business and IT teams to ensure smooth project delivery, addressing risks and dependencies proactively
  • Analyze and resolve data-related technical issues, ensuring system performance and scalability
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture designs, processes, governance policies, and integrations

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience
  • Prior experience as a Data Architect or Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Snowflake and data integration technologies
  • Hands-on experience with middleware systems for data exchange and process integration
  • Prior experience in SFTP protocols for secure file transfer and data processing
  • Prior experience implementing and managing data governance frameworks and data quality controls
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and best practices for data security and privacy
  • Project Management skills, including leading projects, planning, and delivering within deadlines
  • Prior experience utilizing problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, data processing workflows, and high-volume data environments
